Fronz Arp DIY Diary

I'm an independent musician who writes, records and (currently) releases his music himself. On this blog, I'm going to attempt to write an account of what I do, what I achieve and what I learn from week to week

Designer Children

I made a new video to my song “Designer Children” using a fantastic Creative Commons video called “Destiny” (by Fabien Weibel). It fits together quite nicely. Check it out

Here’s a sample of a new song I’ve been working recently on SoundCloud. Ideas are slowly forming into a general musical direction which is a bit different from my last few releases. See what you think anyway xx

@Shearwater worth a listen x

My new song “The Escape Artist”, written and recorded in my New York apartment

The art of escaping is going nowhere
But leave a trail to fool the hunters
And find a place in the darkness where no on can find us

When we can’t run away where are we going to go?
When we can’t run away where are we going to go?
I gave it everything I’ve got
Battled with all that I am not
Wanted it all now I don’t want it anymore

But I have dreams of flying high above
And on my wings I’d find a place where
No one can find us
But close that door, the sun is rising up
The day has found us

And we can’t run away, so where are we going to go
When we can’t run away where are we going to go

Because I gave it everything I’ve got
Battled with all that I am not
Wanted it all now I don’t want it anymore
When I fell
Back to the ground so fast
I should’ve known right from the start
Just wanted to be more then the man that I am
And I fell
But starting from now its going to change
Though we may never be the same
I wanted it all now I don’t want

Where are we going to go?
When the are of escaping
Is to go no where at all
